The Web designer will be responsible for work with the marketing and education team to assist in the development and subsequent training for maintenance of the www.GotCompost.com web site. Web Designer will: • Edit and produce web pages. • Assist with editing and producing graphics. • Develop a content management system. • Incorporate Flash, audio, and video productions into Web site and Web applications. • Research, propose and pursue web optimization for the GotCompost.com site, and social networking strategies on the web. • Assist with web marketing and search engine optimization. Web Designer requirements include: • Solid understanding of web development technology (e.g. html, xml, etc.). • Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver. • Some graphic design experience required. • Passion for web design and development. • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, team player. • Knowledge of search engine optimization. • Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Knowledge of digital video is an advantage.
